You’ve heard plenty about all of the fruits and vegetables that have failed due to the unusually hot and dry weather this spring/summer. Yet there are a few vegetables that absolutely thrive in this kind of weather – specifically, hot peppers. In fact, it’s been said that the more oppressive the growing environment, the spicier they’ll be!
We only have one jalapeño plant this year, but it has been producing like a champ. By the end of this month, we’ll probably harvest 20-25 peppers from that one plant. But what could we possibly do with them?
A couple of weeks ago, I highlighted ten budget-friendly recipes using cherry tomatoes. I believe it’s about time to do the same for jalapeño peppers:
1. Crock Pot Chili
2. Homemade Salsa
3. Jalapeño Poppers
4. Bacon Wrapped Jalapeño Poppers
5. Sausage Stuffed Jalapeños
6. Fresh Jalapeño Dip
7. Mexican Corn
8. Guacamole-Style Deviled Eggs
9. Loaded Nachos
10. Jalapeño & Tomato Chicken Dip
